Packages and letters sent to New Zealand must be posted before December 2 for standard mail and November 25 for economy air.

If you are trying to send parcels and letters to China, you must receive them by post before November 21 for standard mail and November 14 for economy air.

For those not as organized around the holidays, the last date you can send gifts to popular destinations like the US, UK, New Zealand and Canada is December 9th if they are posted via International Express.

Australia Post has yet to announce the latest shipping dates for posting interstate.

Customers looking for the latest shipping dates from a particular country are encouraged to visit Australia Post’s website for more information, said General Manager Gary Starr.

“We know that our latest shipping dates are an important guideline for people in the run up to Christmas and we’ve been preparing for another busy peak season all year to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible,” said Mr. Starr.

“We encourage anyone looking to ship abroad for Christmas this year to visit our website and post on the dates indicated.

“As always, we will continue to deliver items shipped after these dates as soon as possible, but they may not arrive until after Christmas.”
