Travis Barker enters Calabasas studio days after being hospitalized with pancreatitis

Travis Barker showed off his surprisingly quick recovery from pancreatitis on Tuesday when he was seen outside his recording studio.

The 46-year-old drummer looked like he was back to normal as he entered the building, which is located in Calabasas, near the house he shares with wife Kourtney Kardashian, 43.

He was released from hospital just days earlier after suffering from the ‘life-threatening’ condition last week, which was apparently caused by an endoscopic procedure he underwent last Monday.

Back to work! Travis Barker, 46, showed his surprisingly quick recovery from pancreatitis on Tuesday when he was seen outside his recording studio in Calabasas.

Travis was seen getting out of his big black Mercedes G Wagon, which he parked right in front of the entrance.

He opted for a basic casual look for his studio trip with black pinstripe pants and matching black sneakers with high socks.

The drummer emphasized her bona fide punk rock wearing a black T-shirt that resembled the hardcore band DOA’s 1990 tour, which read “Murder” in block letters below the band’s logo.

The short-sleeved shirt emphasized his profuse tattoos and he completed the low-key look with black sunglasses.

Travis appeared to have some sort of black thumb stabilizer on his left hand, although it was not clear whether he had injured himself.

As he strolled to the entrance, he received a warm greeting from one of his friends, who was dressed in a matching all-black look with a shirt from the classic punk band The Misfits.

The friends shared an affectionate punch before Travis pointed the way to the studio.

Although he opted for a luxurious ride to work, Travis preferred a classic car the day before when he went for a joyride on July 4.

The rocker was joined by his wife Kourtney Kardashian and her two youngest children — Penelope, nine, and Reign, seven — as he drove his orange Chevy CST pickup.

The lovebirds seemed to be in high spirits after the punk rocker’s health scares, as in a video of the ride Kourtney posted to her Instagram Stories, she could be heard rocking Bruno Mars’ 2010 single Grenade.

In her videos of one of their rides, Kourtney wore a black, wide-brimmed Prada hat, which he held down with her hand to keep it from flying off in the wind, despite having a drawstring under her chin.

She looked relaxed and casual in a white tank top over a black bikini top, along with a black shrug that covered her arms and shoulders.

Penelope wore a light brown tracksuit with a baseball cap sticking out from under the hood, while Reign wore a white graphic T-shirt and jean shorts.

Travis had been hospitalized a week earlier for what he later revealed was “life-threatening pancreatitis,” which he said was apparently caused by an endoscopy he received Monday last week.

“I went for an endoscopy on Monday and felt great. But after dinner I got excruciating pain and I’ve been hospitalized ever since,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories on Saturday.

‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed in a very sensitive area, usually treated by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis.’

He concluded by saying how ‘very grateful’ he was that he was ‘much better’ after ‘intensive treatment’.

In her own statement on social media, Kourtney wrote: “Oh, what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went together for a routine endoscopy and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”

She continued: “I am so thankful to God for healing my husband, for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and grateful.

“I am so grateful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such good care of my husband and me during our stay.”

In a follow-up post, she wrote, “It’s crazy how sometimes words can never really express the gratitude or feelings I’ve had inside of me.”
